My Images and logo suddently stopped displyaing on my WordPress website

We have received complaints from clients who encountered a peculiar issue where images in their WordPress website, especially images added via the WordPress media uploader tool, suddenly stopped displaying on the front-end and back-end of the website.

This issue can be very difficult to track down and debug as it sometimes will not even generate an error in the console log.

We found the common cause of this problem could be Jetpack. A particular setting that was supposed to make the images load faster and better was responsible for breaking the images.

See the image below for the setting.

When you find this setting in your Jetpack settings and deactivate it, we found it solved the problem quickly.

Deactivating this could however cause your images and website to load slower. You can switch to another CDN (Content Distribution Network) like Cloudflare to still enjoy fast load times for your images.
